what did Raine find out about testosterone
5% of males are characterised with a pattern of antisocial behaviour. 50-70% more likely to commit a violent crime. generally men are more aggressive then females. the involvement in crime typically arises in mid/early teens (same time as testosterone).

aldelson. male rats were castrated and compared with control rats. found that controls were more aggressive. however when the control rats were injected with testosterone, aggression increased.
low internal validity - observations, subjective. animal studies lack generalisability to humans.
give more research to support
Dabbs et al. (1995) found high levels of testosterone in 692 male prisoners.
