Hodgkin’s Lymphoma

A

Reed-Sternberg cells; CD15/30 (+)
-2 mirror image nuclei (“owl eyes”), each with an eosinophilic nucleolus, surrounded by a clear halo; of B-cell origin.

The RS cells secrete cytokines, leading to fever, weight loss, night sweats and itching.

Nodular Sclerosis HL

A

Fibrous thickening of anterior mediastinal and either cervical or supraclavicular lymph nodes.

Lacunar type RS cells seen: RS cell in big spaces.

Excellent prognosis

Lymphocyte-rich HL

A

Lots of lymphocytic and histiocytic (“popcorn”) cells are present. These cells are CD19/20 (+), but CD 15/30 (-)
