- Britain’s RAF, although outnumbered, managed to defeat Germany’s Luftwaffe, thanks largely to their skilled pilots, their latest aircraft such as the spitfire and Hurricane, and the use of technology such as Radar and the decryption of Enigma.

A
After his defeat at the battle of Britain, Hitler instead decided to focus his strength on attacking East Against the Soviet Union.

Battle of Stalingrad
A
When winter hit in 1941, it stopped the Nazi advance close to the soviet capital of Moscow as Stailn continued to throw thousands of troops at Hitler’s army.
The Nazi army encountered fierce resistance at the city of Stalingrad and was unable to completely take over the city. When winter once again came at the end of 1942, Hitler’s army was stretched then and not properly equipped, and Stailn fiercely reinforced Stalingrad.
