How did Hitler become chancellor?
During the depression the Nazis became experts at the use of propaganda, therefore depicting Hitler as Germany’s last hope. Using the radio, Hitler’s name and message was reached out across Germany, promising to end unemployment and tear up the Treaty of Versailles. He also gave the German people a group of people to blame for the Great War (Jews)

How did Hitler get the Enabling law passed?
By winning the support of the NSDAP, Nationalist Party and Catholic Centre Party and silencing the KPD by using the powers of the decree for the protection of people and state
What was the enabling act ?
The enabling act allowed the Nazis to rule by decree without the consent of the Reichstag through laws and to persecute any of its opponents for 4 years
This was easily passed due to the SA and SS having started a campaign of violence to scare or imprison opponents to the party.
The Act also allowed the Nazis to change the constitution to fit their needs and Nazi ideologies
