the leader od the nazi party , promised to solve German unemployment and make Germany strong again
Hitler’s aims
- overrun the Treaty of Versailles
- Rearm Germany - make it strong again
- Ensure Germans had enough land to farm and live on
- Greater Germany
- Unite Austria and Germany again
- Destroy communists
What is Appeasemt ?
a diplomatic negotiation policy of making political, material, or territorial concessions to an aggressive power with intention to avoid conflict.
Nazi - Soviet Pact
Non-aggression Pact between the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany, signed just before the outbreak of the Second World War
Why did Russia sign the pact ?
stalin didn’t trust Hitler and it would be better to be allied with him than invaded by him
Why did Germany sign the pact ?
Hitler needed to take the Russians out of the equation
