What was the Gestappo?
The Nazis’ secret police force. Its job was to monitor the German population for signs of opposition or resistance to Nazi rule. It was greatly helped by ordinary German people informing on their fellow citizens.
What was the cause of WW1
On June 28, 1914, the Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria was assassinated by Gavrilo Princip. Ferdinand was chosen as a target because he was to be the heir of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
What is the SS
The SS (Schutzstaffel) were a security group who were infamous for their
violence and aggression toward those that opposed the Nazis. They wore
black uniforms and were blindly obedient to Hitler.
Why was use of terror an effective way to control the german population
Concentration camps; The SS - could arrest and imprison with no trial or warrant; The gestappo - intercepted calls and letters, were v everywhere!
What was the appeal of the nazi party
They appealed to nationalist and socialist values and they promised to increase employment rates and restore germany to it’s former glory

It was the ‘Night of Broken Glass’. Where the Nazi mobs viciously attacked the Jews and Jewish communities of Germany, Austria, and the Sudetenland region of Czechoslovakia
