Functionalism asks what consciousness is for, structuralism is just concerned with the structure of conscious experience

What is Gestalt Psychology?
Looking at the mind and behaviour as a unified whole. Theories of perception as seeing the world as objects as part of a bigger more complex whole/system.
What did Broadbent contribute to the cognitive revolution?
His filter model of attention: when people are played a series of numbers in each ear they cannot repeat the numbers in the correct sequence. They repeat the numbers first from one ear and then from the next ear.
