Q

What was the theory if the four humours?

A

The idea that the body was made up of four humours ( blood, yellow bile, black bile and phlegm) which needed to be in balance for the body to be in better health.
It was important as it helped to separate the medicine from the supernatural as it was the first major natural idea of medicine for thousands of years.
