Which revolt occurred in January 1919?

A

Communists led by Karl Liebknecht, and Rosa Luxembourg, tried to take over Berlin. In support, 50,000 workers went on strike. This became known as the Spartacist uprising. Ebert used the right wing Freikorps, ex-soldiers, to use force to stop the revolt.

What revolt occurred in March 1920?

A

Wolfgang Kapp, a right wing general, and 6000 Freikorps marched through the streets of Berlin, and occupied the city. Ebert was saved by the workers of Berlin going on strike, so Kapp was forced to give up. Known as the Kapp Putsch.

What happened in January 1923?

A

Germany could not meet reparation deadline, so France and Belgium occupied the Ruhr, industrial area of Germany, and took what they were owed.
The German government had all workers go on strike, and printed money to pay their wages, which lead to hyperinflation.
