What does it mean to be Confucian at work, a Daoist in retirement and a Buddhist on you deathbed?
A
It meant that at work, you would be full of wisdom and knowledge, you would be relaxing and peaceful in retirement and you’d be thinking about after life on your deathbed.

What features of the water make it similar to the Dao
A
The water is generous to all things and is without conflict. It doesn’t compare, and it dwells in the low places, which people think are unimportant. This is why it makes it similar to the Dao because the Dao is like the rivers flowing into the sea.
