What is the difference between an Arab and a Muslim?
An Arab is from or someone’s ancestors are from the Arabian Peninsula
A Muslim is a follower of the Islamic religion. Muslim means “one who has submitted.” If you were Muslim, then you were also believing in one God.

The founder of Islam religion, and to Muslims, he is the ultimate and final prophet. His life completely changed when a voice called to him while he was meditating in a cave.

that an angel named Gabriel came to him and tells him that he is a profit and decedent of Allah and the last prophet their will ever be
What did he say, what happened to him in Mecca at first, and where did he go next?
That he was the descendant of Allah and that they had to believe him,Other Arabs of Mecca attack him and chase him out of Mecca and he goes on a journey with his followers to another city in Arabia called Yathrib, then he went to Medina
How did the Muslims make an empire so quickly and convert so many people?
the amount of benefits and incentives they received such as ultimate justice and forgiveness of sins. They were also attracted by the message of Islam, which offered equality and hope in this world. Finally, non-Muslims were also attracted not having to pay a poll tax.

How did Muslims treat Jews and Christians?
When you see a Muslim you have to stand up and give up your seat for a muslim.
Most of the time Jews were allowed to have happy lives but sometimes their was anti semitism

What families took over and what were their major accomplishments?
Al Quade is Sunni and Hamas and Isis are Sunni, but, Hezbollah anti israel terrorists based on Lebanon
Within Sunni their were 2 major families. The first family is called Umayyads first took power and moved Muslim capital from Mecca to Damascus in Syria.
Other family is called Abbasids, in 750 they defeated the Umayyads and the Umayyads all ran to Spain and the Abbasids moved the capital again and moved it to Bagdad
What is the difference between a Sunni and Shiite?
Sunni Muslims supported leaders that were friends of Mahommad but not related to Mahommad
They started fighting with one another and belive almost the exact same things as Islam but to this day they hate eachothers guts
The leading Sunni country is Saudi Arabia
The leading Shia country is Iran
Most Muslims are Sunni

the importance that the Shiites give to Ali, whom the Sunni do not recognize as being the prophet’s rightful successor.
What are the 5 pillars of Islam?
Have to believe in the one God Allah, and believe that Mahommad was Allah’s last prophet
Muslim has to pray 5 times a day and pray in a Mosque. Each prayer is 10 min
They have to give charity
Muslim month called Ramadan and Muslims have to fast when the sun is up the entire month
Once in their lifetime they have to do the Hajj which is a visit to Mecca in Kaaba
What are Muslims forbidden to eat or drink?
Believers are forbidden to eat pork or to drink intoxicating beverages.
What do religious Muslims believe about American separation of church and state?
We believe in american church state and the muslims belive in Sharia which is also the law of the land for in a muslim country

Muslims believe that Mahomad went on a magic ride on a magic animal to Jerusalem on animal called the Buraq which was a horse with wings with the head of a beautiful women
2nd Reason: Gets of the Buraq at the rock, he lands on the rock, then goes up to heaven and leads all the prophets that came before him, all led by Mahomad for prayer
That trip from Mecca to Medina is called The Hijrah, Mahamad attracted a lot of followers through his journey
Islam says it is a sin for any muslim to give back land back to infidel
