what are the seven principles of the constitution
popular sovereignty, republicanism, federalism, seperation of powers, checks and balances, limited government, individual rights

to ensure one branch does not get too powerful (judicial review/veto)

1st admendment
five basic rights, speech, religoin, press, petition
2nd admendment
right to bear arms (you can have a gun)
third admendment
quartering troops (you don’t have to have troops living with you)
4th admendment
search and seizure (you can’t go into a house without a warrant)
5th admendment
rights of the accused person (you are innocent until proven guilty)
6th admendment
right to a speedy trial (they can’t keep you in jail for too long waiting for your trial)
7th admendment
trail by jury (you can have a jury and not a judge)
