3 good points about Akbar:
A
- By the time of his death, he ruled over most of north, central and western India.
- Was very tolerant of other religions - particularly Hindus - he himself was Muslim - viewed ALL RELIGIONS AS EQUAL
- Got rid of the ‘jizya’ tax against all religions other than Muslims
- Established a new delegated form of government - delegated sections of land

A
- Mostly tolerant - not towards Sikhs though -had to put down a rebellion
- Signed agreement with the East India Company, brought in money
- Said to be addicted to opium + alcohol
- Was more close to people, had chain of bells to ring to speak to the emperor
- Continued to expand empire

A
- Unlike others, was a devout Muslim and not tolerant
- Imposed ‘Shari’ah’ law - tax on fixing other religious buildings
- Great famine during his reign, kept a lot of money to himself, though architecture was good
- Empire continued to expand

A
- Created purely Islamic state
- Wasn’t tolerant of other religions, re-introduced anti-muslim jizya tax
- Very strict, executed his own brother
- The East India Company stopped trading part way through his reign
- Empire expanded greatly
