A

General Winfield Scott from the union made the anaconda plan during the civil war where the union would race down the Mississippi and separate the confederacy destroying trade and also blocking trade with others.

Bull run also known as the battle of Manassas was the first battle of the civil war in which union troops marched south to capture south’s Richmond capital but McDowell was stopped by brig. Gen P.G.T. Confederates flanked on the right side pushing union back to Washington resulting in confederate win.

Told us that confederates could stand up to union and gave Abraham confidence to announce Emancipation Proclamation. A

A slave who joined his master who was an army physician to a free state but his master died. Scott argued to the court that because he was in a free state that he was no free. But the court ruled that property is inherited so he is sent back to where he came from. Court rules in slavery’s favor.
