Monks spread the word of Christianity from travelling dangerous journeys to different lands such as the Cornwall, Wales, and Scotland. the reason why they stated is when at first Irish people believed in pagan gods (believes in many gods) and when they heard the gospel of Patrick that’s when they changed into Christianity, they first started building monasteries in Ireland then sailed to different countries and built monasteries there using boats called corales.

medieval town castles were towns that had castle where the nobles lived where it was on top of a hill because it is easier to defend, there would be a small town down the hill with the remainder of the people lived, the town would be surrounded by walls and had traps like sharp daggers in the ground so if the enemy step on them they will freeze because there would be a hook on top preventing them to be releced as well in pain and get shot by an arrow, the religion was Christianity and for illness it was normally smallpox or the flu which is all incredibly dangerous illnesses.

before the printing press the books were hand written so it would take months to get a book where after it could take minuets to make pages.

Because it was so slow a lot of people could not read so when books could be printed faster they were cheaper, so more people could afford books and began to start reading.
