What is chronology?
Chronology is the study of when events occurred. Chronology involves putting events and dates into order in which they occur.
What is a decade?
10 years
What is a Millennia?
1000 years
What is a century?
100 years.
What does AD mean?
After Christ birth
What does BC mean?
Before the birth of Christ.
How do you deal with centuries?
Add 1 to the hundreds column e.g.
2009=20th century because 20(+1)09 = 21.
What is a cause?
The cause of events relate to the reasons why an event occurred.
What is a consequence?
The consequences relate to what happened after the event.
What is a change.
Change involves exploring what has changed over time.
What is continuity?
Continuity relates to how despite major events some things continue to stay the same.
What is primary evidence?
Primary evidence is evidence that is from the time of the event. Like a Roman sword.
What is secondary evidence.
Secondary evidence is evidence written or made after the event like a textbook.
What is an anachronism?
An anachronism is when a historian mixes up time periods like Winston Churchill went and played minecraft on his Xbox after he won the war.
