Q

What is loose areolar connective tissue

A

A layer of connective tissue underneath the skin, it contains cell types and fibers. It connects and support, it also allows nutrient exchange

Q

Name the characteristics of cartilage

A
  • Flexible and resistant
  • No blood vessel
  • Lacunae (cavities)
  • Invisible collagen fibers
  • Some elastic fibers
17
Q

Explain the difference between hyaline cartilage and elastic cartilage

A

Hyaline cartilage- short collagen fibers, supports and cushions, found in the nose and at the end of long bones.

Elastic cartilage- contains both collagen and elastic fibers, supports and is flexible, found in the ears.

18
Q

Name the characteristics of bones

A
  • Lacunae (cavities)
  • Rich in blood vessels
  • Support and protect
19
Q

Name the characteristics of blood

A
  • Red Blood Cells and White Blood Cells
  • Fibers are soluble
  • Their function is transportation
