it was a fight between indonesian, malaysian and commonwealth forces along the long land border that malaysia shared with Indonesia.
there were acts of sabotage.
why did communist terrorism start?
there was a threat posed by malayan communist party(MCP) led to state of emergency being declared

How did sg show deterrence?
they built a credible defence force that would make enemies think twice before attacking. a good defence force would also be capable of dealing with enemies swiftly and decisively
how was Singapore diplomatic?
they established and developed strong relationships eith governments and defence forces around the world, so to train with and learn from other militaries, and other countries would have a more respect for Singapore, preserving our peace and stability
