According to Hirsch, what is the most important boundary?
the relationship between cultural distributors and surrogate consumers (e.g. record labels and radio stations)
Hirsch described this model through a 19th century lens. Are gatekeepers still important in the digital media era? Explain.
Techincally no but in a practical sense, yes. Even though artists can now publish their own material, you still need gatekeepers in order to get exposure.
