Trendelenburg
Assesses weakness in hip adductor mucles
Positive test when pelvis opposite side drops
FADIR
identifies intra-articular hip joint pathologies (FAI, labral tears or hip osetoartritis)
Postitive test - Pain in the anterior hip or groin region
FABER
Tests hip joing or spasm of iliopsoas mucles
Positive test - pain in hip groin, or restricted movement.
Thomas test
assesses hip flexor tightness
Postive test - extended leg raises
Modified thomas test
Assesses hip flexor tightness - helps distinguish between rec fem and iliopsoas muscle
Positive test - exrtended leg raises off table
