Q

Trendelenburg Test

A

pt slowly march in place, can add ankle PF (If no PF, S1)
Look at pelvis
-Greater than 1/2” depression is glute med weakness, hip compression intolerance, or S1 myotome involvement

Q

Faber/Patrick’s/Figure 4 Test

A

pt foot placed opposite distal thigh proximal to knee in supine
PT controls abduct/ER hip
-Hypomobile SI or hip joint, tight adductors
Symptoms at PSIS: SI/Lumbar joint pathology
Symptoms at GT/Thigh: hip joint pathology
Symptoms at knee: Meniscal pathology

Q

FAIR Test

A
pt. sidelying
hip flexed to 45 and knee to 90
allow hip to adduct to table

Q

Ober test

A

pt sidelying with supportive LE flexed to 45 and knee to 90
Tested hip brought to neutral extension with knee flexed to 90, hip abducted
Allow hip to adduct while stabilizing pelvis
Measure at point that pelvis begins to depress Inclinometer over lateral femoral condyle

Q

Scour Test

A

pt supine, flex hip to 90 with slight adduction. Scour 2x without compression. If no symptoms, scour 2x with compression
Reproduction of symptoms could mean intra-articular pathology
If pain with scour, resisted hip flexion for 5 seconds
