1
Q
Why is Japan densely populated (geographically)?
A

- However, 70% of Japan is still mountainous. This means that most people are packed into a smaller area. The population density of Tokyo, for example, is 2642/km2.
- Japan’s resources support a good economy and therefore vibrant, densely populated communities: because it is coastal, there is fishing, tourism and communication. 4 seasons also attractive to tourists.
