High Grade Non-Hodgkin Lymphomas Flashcards
Name the high grade lymphomas.
DLBCL
Burkitt Lymphoma
HIV associated Lymphoma
T cell lymphomas
What is needed for all HIV associated lymphomas?
IT chemotherapy
NK cell marker
CD56+
Most common location of NK cell lymphoma
Nose
Sinus histiocytosis with massive lymphadenopathy.
80% have spontaneous improvement without treatment.
Cells stain positive for S100, CD163 and CD68.
Emperipolesis: presence of other cells in the cytoplasm of a cell without evidence of destruction.
Rosai-Dorfman Syndrome/Disease
T cell lymphoma with hypergammaglobulinemia and + DAT.
Angioimmunoblastic T cell lymphoma
Lymphoma associated with splenomegaly and use of TNF-a inhibitors/azathioprine for IBD
Hepatosplenic T cell lymphoma
What type of lymphoma is HIV and HHV-8 associated and arises in body cavities?
Primary effusion lymphoma.
Pleural space, pericardium, peritoneum.
Everyone gets IT chemo and antiretroviral treatment.
Burkitt Lymphoma translocation
t(8;14)
First line treatment for Anaplastic large cell lymphoma?
Based on what trial?
A-CHP (brentuximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, prednisone) preferred over CHOP due to Echelon-2 trial.
Second or later line treatment for ALK+ anaplastic large cell lymphoma.
Crizotinib, Lorlatinib
What do you use to treat advanced stage NK/T cell lymphomas?
Asparaginse containing regiments. Typical anthracycline based regiments are less effective due to high levels of P-glycoprotein expression.
