  2. Est. command and request TAC channel
  3. Give sit-rep to incoming co’s
  4. locate knowledgeable bldng personnel
  5. assist TRT with equipment if HPD has secured street

2nd Engine duties on hi angle rescue

A
  1. Secures elevator to roof and holds it for Ladder crew and TRT. 1 member with a radio shall stay in elevator at all times. do not release elevator until ops are terminated
  2. Assist TRT with equipment and assist in any manner that will expedite the positive & timely conclusion

First Ladder duties on hi angle rescue

A

take rescue rope and salvage cover to roof 1. or specific floor and establish TOP CONTROL

  1. Est top control hot zone of 100’ from edge of bldng and keep non-essential personnel out
  2. locate adequate anchor points for rope systems
  3. If victims can be reached with a rescue rope, tie a Fig. 8 on a bight with an OH safety knot in the end of the rope. Place AUTO-LOCKING CARABINER thru the bight. Lower the rope with the caracbiner to the victims. secure to anchor point making sure all slack is out of rope. maintain visual and verbal contact with victim until TRT arrives
  4. Est. equipment staging area with salvage cover
