Anchoring heuristic
a form of cognitive bias where the mere presence of an initial number can have disproportionate influence on subsequent decision making
the availability heuristic
a mental shortcut where whatever is easiest for us to recall should provide the best context for future predictions
representativeness heuristic
when making judgments about the probability of an event/ person you choose whatever matches the stereotype you have envisioned
implicit bias
a bias somebody has that they are unaware of
confirmation bias
a bias we are likely unaware of that gives us the tendency to pay attention to evidence that already supports our current views and beliefs
