A

To human achievements may not be forgotten in time
And that the great and marvellous actions of both the Greeks and non-Greeks, may not be without glory

Particularly interested in showing why the greeks and non-Greeks came into conflict

A

Gives great detail about her ramming another Persian ship on her side to make her seem like she was on the Grecian side
She gained Xerxes respect: “My men have become women, my women men”

Artimisia was the queen of Helicarnassus
He may have got a biased source towards her

A

Herodotus places considerable emphasis on individuals actions
Doesn’t focus much on economic hardships
Or Persia wishing to expand (more of a personal grudge)
