Folk, maceration & Percolation method for tinctures?

A

Folk: Fill jar with herbs, cover with 40% alcohol, store in dark cool place.

Maceration: Same but dried herb in smaller pieces & use 1:5 in 40% ratio

Percolation: Moving solvent through powdered herb material slowly, letting solvent drip through filter into collecting container. Takes 1-2 days, more concentrated end product.
