After no detection of virus in feces
Hep A CM?
Viral CM : fever, headache, arthralgia, myalgia, malaise, nausea vomitus, anorexia, diarrhea, abd pain, jaundice, clay stool, dark urine
Hep A phase?
Prodormal : virus cm
Jaundice : virus cm + jaundice
Work up for hep a?
IgM anti HAV, liver biochemistry : ALT, Bilirubin, ALP, PT
DD hep a?
Hep b, c, drug induced, alcoholic
Vaccination indication for hep a?
Age 1-18, travellers, adopting endemics children, drug user, homosexual, chronic liver disease, acceptor coagulation factor
Treatment for hep a?
Nonpharmacology : symptomatic, rest until jaundice gone
Pharmacology : symptomatic
Indication for ig hep a?
Below 1 y.o, chronic liver disease, more than 40 y.o, immunocompromaise
Ig hep a dose?
0.02ml/kgBB IM
Hep a complication?
Liver failure in 4 weeks
How long igM anti HAV remain?
3 months
When igG present?
during convalescent
why HAV infection recurring every 5-20 years?
new segment of non-immune populations appear
