  • Murdered Earl of Northumberland
  • It was put down reasonably easy but was still a concern

  • 1497, sparked by the demand for extraordinary revenue to fund wars with Scotland
  • Posed a greater threat than Yorkshire due to the high number involved (15,000) and the fact that it got to Blackheath
