IgA mediated small vessel vasculitis

A
Normally seen in children following an infection

What are the dermatological features of HSP?
A
- Palpable purpuric rash with localised oedema
- over buttocks and extensor surfaces of arms and legs

What are the clinical features of HSP?
A
- Rash
- Abdominal pain
- Polyarthritis

What features of IgA nephropathy may occur?
A
- Haematuria

What is the Tx for HSP?
A
- Analgesia for athralgia
2. Mainly supportive treatments only

What is the prognosis for HSP?
A
A self limiting condition especially in children without renal involvement
