Differentiate Hendra and Nipah.

A

Hendra
- Hendra = Horses (high pathogenicity in them with only very limited spillover into humans)
- Australia
- 7 cases ever
- Not airborne

Nippah
- The bats like a wee nibble on date sap
- Spill over from pigs/horses with infection also cause by contaminated treesap
- Host = flying fox (fruit bat)
- Airborne (like the flying fox)
- HCID - hazard group 4 pathogen
- Very high CFR
- Outbreaks in Malaysia, Bangladesh, Northern India
