  • Few months later, Roman senators assassinated him
  • Power of Rome went to Marcus Antonius
  • Then Octavian accused him of neglecting Rome/conspiring with Cleopatra and took the power. Defeated Marcus and took power.
    => Octavian self-proclaimed emperor: Caesar Augustus
