A hazard
Something that could potentially cause harm like a trailing or loose wire
A Risk
How likely that the hazard will cause harm eg. tripping or electrocution
Client Health & Wellbeing
-make sure to keep your area clean and tidy
-watch out for slipping or tripping hazards
-Make sure you clean any spillages as you work
-Always do a client consultation
-If your client develops a reaction stop immediately.
Sterilisation
Is the complete removal or destruction of all living microorganisms and their spores
Autoclave -heat
Disinfection
Is the removal of most of the micro-organisms and their spores
Barbicide- liquid

Includes the use of PPE
Requires employers to give training to employees for hygiene and the use of protective clothing

Control of substances hazardous to Health
This ensures that all chemicals and waste must be used, stored and disposed of safely in accordance with local by-laws
Electricity at work Act
States that a qualified and competent person must check all electrical appliances regularly
Equipment that is not PAT tested should be reported to a senior member of staff and removed from use
