Foreign body
H/o trauma to eye
Fingernail, paper, contact lens
C/o of pain, photophobia, tearing, FB sensation

Drug for Corneal abrasion
Polymyxin-bacitracin ophthalmic ointment
Significant ocular trauma. Typically from a metallic object. Photophobia & profuse lacrimation. Significant uveitis
Corneal laceration
Blood in front of the iris
Hyphema
Kid is hit in the eye with a baseball. of pain, local tenderness and double vision
Blow out fracture
Procedure of choice for blow out facture
CT scan
Blurry vision developing slowly over years. Gray or yellow opacity (blurring) of the lens
Cataract
“web” or “veil” in front of the eye or in the periphery. the vitreous membrane pulls on and creates a tear in the retina. thousands of blood cells being liberated from a tiny blood vessel which has been broken due to the tear
Retinal Detachment
Patient is unable to unable to Read, drive a car and even recognize familiar faces. A blind spot in the center of their vision.
Macular degeneration
Ophthalmic signs and symptoms. Chronic conjunctival injection. Changes in corneal curvature. Large fluctuations in refraction. Premature cataract formation
Diabetic Retinopathy
Long standing poorly controlled diabetes
Hemorrhages
Cotton wool deposits
Hard & soft exudates

Patches of blind spots in central vision

Optic disc swelling. Patient complains of increased intracranial pressure and glaucoma
