palpation of trachea

neck slightly flexed palpate thyroid

Chvostek’s tests
+ twitching lip
Meningeal irritation, Brudzinski’s sign
+ painful neck, reflexive flexion of knees and hips
Cardarelli sign
+ palpable heart beat with lateral deviation
Oliver sign
+ palpable heart beat with upward tug
Parotid & submandibular intraoral exam
+ visible exudate, palpable stone obstruction
