What is conduction and where can it happen?
A
It can happen in solids
When heated the atoms and free electrons gain energy and collide, transferring heat.

What is convection and what sates does it happen in?
A
Liquids and gases
When heat is applied to molecules adjacently they the molecules gain kinetic energy and expand. Resulting in a decrease in density. So they rise above the more dense cooler molecules.

Radiation is heat transfer that can move heat across anything even nothing.
