A

As infrared waves. These are electromagnetic waves that travel in straight lines a the speed of light

Radiation is different from conduction and convection in several ways. Explain those ways

A
  1. It doesn’t need a medium to travel through so it can occur in a vacuum, like space. This is the only way that heat reaches us from the sun
  2. It can only occur through transparent substances, like air, glass and water
  3. The amount of radiation emitted or absorbed by an object depends to a large extent on its surface colour and texture
