Biventricular pacemakers (CRT or BiV)
- Cause the LV lateral wall and septal wall to contract together, and cause a more efficient contraction/ increase stroke volume

If a patient is cold and wet what should you do to get them back to a happy level?

A
Warm = good CO
Dry = not congested

Cold wet → give them ionotrope → Warm wet → reduce congestion with diuretic → Warm and dry (happy)

A

diuretics - as inefficient as they may be for relief of symptoms due to volume overload

blood pressure control

coronary revascularization when myocardial ischemia is present

(no drugs to reduce fibrosis - trials pending)
