renal findings in Alports syndrome
X linked Dominant inheritance- thinning of Glom BM and Glomerulonephritis results in hematuria.
sensorineural hearing loss
damage to organ or corti in cochlea or retrocochlear damage from acoustic neuroma or CN 8 damage
damage or obstruction of Middle or external ear
conductive hearing loss
Webers test- lateralization of hearing to one side.
ipsilateral conductive loss
or
contralateral sensorineurl loss
Rinnes Test
Air conduction normally longer than Bone
Negative Rinne test
BC>AC = conductive hearing loss
Audiogram should be done? Normal?
should be done in all pts with changes in hearing or new onset tinnitus or vertigo
NORMAL <20 Decibels
