What do fats do?
Secondary source of energy for the body and provides insulation from the cold.
What do proteins do?
Growth and repair of body tissues such as bone, muscle and skin.
What do vitamins do?
Assists in a range of chemical reactions occurring in the body such as energy release.
Promotes healthy skins and helps resist infection.
What do minerals do?
Helps maintain a range of internal body functions such as blood formation, bone strength and water balance
What does water do?
Maintains hydration of body cells, carries nutrients in the blood and assists in maintaining ideal body temperature.
List the food pyramid in order, from what should be eaten the most to what shouldn’t.

What are some misleading statements on food packaging?
Reduced fats, light option, cholesterol free, no added sugar, diet option.
How do companies advertise their food?
Linking the food with a particular image, testimonials with famous people, providing a bargain, appeal to desires, slogans or jingles.
