What does a sphygomanometer measure and what can it tell you about your health?
It measures your blood pressure and it can detect if you have any heart problems like heart disease.
What does a Peak flow meter measure and what can it tell you about your health?
It measures your lung outburst (the rate that air comes out of your lungs) and it can detect if you have asthma.
What does a thermometer measure and what can it tell you about your health?
It measures your body temperature and it can tell you if you have things like a flu, cold or a fever.
What does a Body mass index measure and what can it tell you about your health?
It measures your weight category and it can tell you if your over weight, the correct rate or under weight.
What is the order of the digestive system?

What is an Enzyme?
Enzymes are biological catalysts that are essential to the digestive system as they speed up chemical reactions.

A balanced diet
What are all of the things that are in your respiratory system?
Trachea, ribs, muscle tissue, bronchi, bronchioles, alveoli (air sac), heart, lungs, diaphragm.
What is your first line of defence?
Nose, eyes, ears, mouth, skin, cuts, genitals.
What is phagocytes?
White blood cell that engulfs and destroys pathogens.
What is lymphocytes?
White blood cells that produce antibodies
What are antibiotics?
Antibodies are used to fight infection that has already been taken hold.
What are vaccines?
Vaccines protect against disease before it takes hold.
What diseases does MMR cover?
Measles, Mumps and Rubella
What disease does HPV cover?
Genital cancer
What happens when your blood sugar rises?
The pancreas detects the change and releases insulin, Insulin travels to the liver and converts glucose into glycogen and then your blood glucose levels drop.
What happens when your blood sugar drops?
The pancreas detects the change and releases glucagon, glucagon travels to the liver and converts glycogen back into glucose and then your blood glucose levels rise.
What happens when your body is cold?
Shivering, paleness and vasoconstriction
What happens when your body is hot?
Sweating, redness and vasodilation
How does cancer occur?
Cancer occurs due to uncontrolled cell division of damaged DNA
