A

It applies to all non-domestic properties and is in place to protect this people who may unknowingly be exposed to asbestos fibre during their day to day work

A

Reporting of injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations.

Allows HSE and Local Authorities to monitor accident trends, identify how risks arise and investigate serious accidents

  • undertaking a risk assessment before attending (off limit areas etc)
  • adhere to safe person concept
  • inform my colleagues of my whereabouts

What precautions would you take when inspecting a dilapidated property?

A

A risk assessment that considers:
- intruders
- fire
- weather damage, lose tiles etc
- pest issues
- if PPE is required

What hazardous materials have you come across?

A

In some properties I was made aware of asbestos however I have not disturbed this. As such I may have to sign a declaration form before entering the property that I will not disturb this
