A

Life expectancy is the measurement of the number of years a person is expected to live on the baisis that a current health conditions do not change.
- This is calculated at birth.

What does HALE stand for and mean?

A

HALE stands for Health-Adjusted Life Expectancy, and refers to the number of years in full health that a person can expect to live based on the current rates at ill health & mortality rates.
- This is a measurement of burden of disease.
