Firms are responsible for putting in place a framework of rules within which their employees can operate, members individuals are responsible for following those rules competently

Identify Hazards, determine severity, evaluate risk and precautions, record findings and implement them, review the assessment and update if necessary, advise those affected of the outcome of the assessments and methods of work

Competent Advice
Once fire risk has been evaluated and a management plan devised what do you need to do
Prepare a Fire risk management system, this needs to be communicated to affected people and kept up to date
What are the general considerations when procuring a contractor
- Think about what the work will involve 2. Check whether the contractor is competent 3. Provide any relevant information about the property to the contractor.

Reporting of Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995, requires reporting of any injury resulting in over 7 days incapacitation to HSE within 15 days. Info should be kept in an accident book

What does the occupiers Liability act 1957 and 1984 do?
1957 act extends liability of occupiers and others caused to lawful visitors as a result of dangers due to the state of the property, or things done or not done there, need to make reasonable efforts, Trespassers are covered by the Occupiers Liability act 1984
