- Regular refuse collection (bins) meant waster was out of the street and didn’t lead to rats and disease.
- Street lighting, safer for people to be out and about.
- Gas/electricity brought to homes this would lead to better quality of
homes, heating, cooking etc. - Public baths were introduced – better hygiene.
