- Disorders of growth - Abnormal cell growth; maturation, differentiation, quantity, control
- Degenerative Disorders - Heterogeneous group, abnormailites of tissues and organs
- Developmental - abnormalities of gametogenesis, abnormalities of embryogenesis
- Psychological - phychosis, neurosis, intellectual disability
- Unnatural conditions - traumatic (accidental or deliberate; broken bone), latrogenic (treatment related; immunosuppression in chemotheraphy for malignacy
