forms covering for body. helps regulate body temperature and contains some of the structures needed for sensation

provides framework. provides and supports body organs
Types of Muscle?
skeletal, smooth, cardiac
Describe skeletal
attaches to bone. this type of muscle is responsible for movement and maintains posture
Describe smooth
found in various organs and tubes. helps move fluid through contraction and relaxation
Describe cardiac
found in the heart enabling it to pump blood throughout the body
Organs of Nervous?
brain, spinal cord, nerves, sensory organs
Function of Nervous?
sensory nerves transmit info to spinal cord and brain. the brain and spinal cord interpret and transmit decisions back to the body via the efferent peripherals with the help of motor nerves
Organs of Endocrine?
numerous glands
Function of Endocrine?
secretes hormones and chemical substances that regulate body activities such as growth, reproduction, metabolism, and water balance
Organs of Circulatory?
heart, blood, vessels
Function of Circulatory?
heart pumps blood and transports via vessels carrying nutrients and oxygen to cells. carries waste away from cells to organs for excretion

lymphatic nodes, vessels, organs
