Clients own voice (amplification)

Or both above

Q

What are the benefits of venting? (4)

A

Reduction of the occlusion effect

Clearer and more natural speech and sound

Improved clarity in the background noise

Less upward spread of masking

Q

What is feedback?

A

HF amplified sound that leaks out of ear canal and is picked up again by microphone

This signal adds in phase with incoming signal and may be amplified over & over resulting in oscillation (whistling)
