What are the five general hand range categories?
1 - Pocket pairs (22-AA)
2 - Broadway cards (AK, AQ, AJ, AT, KQ, KJ, KT, QJ, QT, JT)
3 - Suited connectors (T9s-43s)
4 - Cusp hands (A9s, 75s, T9o, etc.)
5 - Trash (T4o, 63s, 72o, etc.)
What four questions should you ask yourself when hand reading?
1 - What’s the worst pocket pair they’d have?
2 - What’s the worst broadway they’d have?
3 - What’s the worst suited connector they’d have?
4 - Any other hands?
What seven questions make up the preflop checklist?
1 - What is the effective stack size?
2 - What range of cards would my opponent take action with?
3 - If I take action x, what range will my opponents put me on?
4 - What does my bet size accomplish? Does it create a good, bad, or great scenario?
5 - What are the players left to act likely to do?
6 - What will the pot size be on the flop?
7 - What are the players left likely to do postflop?
