A
  1. Tetanus Toxoid if indicated (prophylaxis)
  2. Drain the pus and allow continued drainage ( do not suture)
  3. Bacteriological diagnosis
  4. Elevation
  5. Splint (“safe” position & helps drainage)
  6. Appropriate Antibiotics
  7. Early mobilization and rehabilitation (on day 1)
  8. Adequate analgesia to allow mobilization
